Nearly 400 people in six months contract Baleares opt to go back to school.

Palma, July 26 .- The pilot project linked training of the Balearic Government has allowed for six months, 390 youths from 16 to 29 years in the islands have come back onto the studies that had left for various reasons and have been eligible for an employment contract for six months.

Students in this pilot who fail to find a job after training may, tera gold, contribute and access the benefits system Inem.

This initiative is part of the program "Second Chance", is directed to children under 29 years-with special attention to those under 25 - which at one point left school, with family and have recently lost work or not eligible for a lack of training.

82% of cases, participants in this "second chance" have completed courses or secondary education (ESO), 23% have taken courses in Catalan, computer and languages, 7% of high school courses, a 2% and 1% literacy studies university entrance.

Elder care, management of recreation and leisure time with children, maintenance of sports facilities, gardens and public spaces, administrative work, teaching in nursery schools or cleaning of beaches are some of the jobs that have been formed these students.

Projects (a total of 20 different islands in all) have had the collaboration of the Balearic town councils with more than 20,000 inhabitants and allowed the hiring of 40 technicians responsible for coordinating the courses.

SOIB director, Marceli Fernandez, has highlighted the level of success achieved by students in this first year of the initiative: over 70 percent have adopted all or most of the subjects to which they pointed.
