Starts at the ILA Berlin with good prospects for the aviation sector.
Berlin, June 8 .- The Berlin Air Show (ILA) today opened its biggest edition so far, with 300 aircraft and 1153 exhibitors from 47 countries, and with good future prospects for the airline industry, according to the German Ministry of Economy.
The Minister of Economy, Rainer Bruederle, today highlighted the "scientific and technological excellence" of the aviation industry and noted that forecasts point to an annual growth, aika gold, of between 4 and 5 percent for the coming years.
"The increase in turnover of the sector in 2009 was exemplary, with a rise of 4 percent, despite the difficult economic situation", said in a statement.
He said that the future prospects of the industry are "positive" despite "current challenges."
The ILA, which was developed in the, aika gold, grounds of Berlin's Schoenld airport until 13 June, Switzerland as a country is invited and is expected to attract some 200,000 visitors.
