John Riccitiello, chief executive of Electronic Arts, could be in deep trouble, and that analysts say is in charge right now is presenting a bad image to shareholders primarily by a reduction in expected darkfall gold for the little commercial success of new IPs like Mirror’s Edge or Dead Space and also by the low volume of sales of the distribution on the Wii.
“Whenever yields below what is expected of you your job is in jeopardy,” said Mike Hickey, Janco Partners analyst group. “Their inability to achieve the objectives set for this year puts you at great risk.”
Michael Pachter agrees with the findings of his colleague and says further that Riccitiello has “zero credibility” to buy darkfall items. “Shareholders feel betrayed and comment more common among them is that they feel valued and taken into account.”
The former company executives also put the outcry, and Mitch Lasky, extinct member of the senior management has also raised complaints. “Electronic Arts is in the wrong business, with cost structures and the wrong team, wrong,” says Lasky. “But somehow think will be a quick and painless change of physical to digital games, and they are wrong.”
