The debut Oskar Santos, the schadenfreude, with a screenplay by Daniel Sanchez Arevalo and produced by Alejandro Amenabar, participate in the forthcoming International Film Festival Berlin, which will be held from 11 to 21 February, a statement said its distributor, Alta Films.
The emotional thriller, which opens on April 30, stars Eduardo Noriega (Open Your Eyes), Belen Rueda (The Sea Inside) and Angie Cepeda (Love in the Time of Cholera).
The film, which takes part in the Berlinale Panorama section, follows the life of Diego, a physician accustomed to the brink and is immune to the pain of fallen earth chips. After disconnecting from work, his partner and his duty as a father, Diego will threaten you with a gun. Hours later, the protagonist only remember the sound of a detonation and a strange sensation. From that moment something changed in his life and must take an irreversible decision.
A movie that Amenabar himself defined as “a film with a protagonist who has a wonderful gift. A story that responds to emotions very close: the physical and emotional pain. For Noriega, the schadenfreude as darkfall gold, is “so exciting and so visually powerful constantly want to know more.”
